Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović is scheduled to pay an official visit to the Iranian capital next week for talks on enhancement of economic cooperation between the two nations following a lasting nuclear deal between Tehran and six world powers.
According to a report carried by Total Croatia News on Wednesday, Grabar-Kitarović will be accompanied by a large business delegation led by the Croatian Chamber of Economy.

About 50 Croatian companies will send their representatives to join the President on the trip, it added.

The visit is expected to result in stronger economic cooperation between the two countries.

It will come against the backdrop of a new wave of interest in ties with Iran after Tehran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14, 2015 reached a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive 159-page deal on Tehran’s nuclear program and started implementing it on January 16.

The comprehensive nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), terminated all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran.
