Ukraine business delegation visits Iran Chamber of Commerce

A Ukrainian business delegation has visited Iran Chamber of Commerce on Sunday to explore grounds for boosting trade relations between the two countries.

A group of 110 Ukrainians mostly active in agriculture, food industries, poultry, transportation, logistics, wood industries and mine attended the Iran-Ukraine business forum on Sunday to discuss joint fields of cooperation with their Iranian business partners.

Representatives from Ukrainian legal and consulting services were also present at the meeting and provided consultation to Iranian businessmen and companies interested in investment in Ukraine.

According to the figures published by the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, the total amount of the country’s imports from Ukraine during 2014-2015 period stands at USD160 million and the total amount of Iranian companies’ exports to the Eastern Europe country equals USD19 million.

Meanwhile Ukraine Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin arrived in Tehran on Sunday for a two-day visit packed with various meetings with Iranian officials on boosting bilateral relations and discussing regional issues. Pavlo Klimkin making the visit to Tehran at the official invitation of Foreign Minister Moahmmad Javad Zarif, in a bid to confer on the present and future state of the two countries’ relations.
