Secretary General of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Pornchai Danvivathana has underscored the need for the member states to pursue common issues.
He made the remarks while addressing the opening ceremony of the 2nd conference of chambers of commerce of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) member states in central Iranian city of Isfahan on Monday.
Danvivathana said that the first edition of this conference was held in Turkey in 2021 where participating members stressed the significance for holding such conferences.
He noted that holding such events are of key importance as they can ensure enhanced dialogue among the 35-member ACD bloc.
The official also called for creating standards and regulations in the area of investment among the member states, highlighting the vital role of the chambers of commerce in this regard.
He said that it is likely that the next edition of the conference will be held in Qatar, however calling on the other member chambers of commerce to announce their readiness if they like to host this event.
