According to the Public Relations Department of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), the document was inked on the sidelines of the 11th Trade Promotion Organization Network World Conference and Awards in Marrakech, Morocco, which was held on 24-25 November.
Over 200 policymakers, business leaders and representatives of trade and investment promotion organizations from across the world took part in the gathering.
The chairman of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, Mojtaba Khosrotaj, and the Executive Director of the International Trade Center, Arancha González, signed the MoU.
The agreement is aimed at expanding joint cooperation in diverse fields including boosting trade ties between TPOI and its foreign counterparts, creating new capacities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and launching joint market analysis.
“It’s forecasted that the expansion of Iran’s cooperation with the International Trade Center will play an effective role in promoting foreign trade via using successful experience of other countries in this regard,” wrote the website of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
The International Trade Center offers technical assistance to developing economies to promote their exports.
