Pedram Soltani was elected vice-president of the Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) during the 89th session of the confederation’s council.
Concurrent with the 32nd CACCI Conference, the council meeting was held on 23 September 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Pedram Soltani who is also vice president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture headed a delegation of Iranian entrepreneurs and businessmen at the CACCI Conference.
This is the first time that Iran holds the seat of the CACCI vice presidency.
Meanwhile Samir Modi from India was elected as president of CACCI for next four years. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, president of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), who hosted the meeting was also re-elected as vice president of CACCI.
The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry is a regional association principally composed of the national chambers or associations of commerce and industry in Asia and the Western Pacific.
