Head of the Iranian local chamber of Ahvaz Shahla Amouri said on Saturday that Ahvaz Chamber is looking for further promotion of economic relations with Armenia.
Amouri made the remarks during a meeting with Armenian Ambassador to Iran Artashes Tumanyan who is on a two-way visit to the southwestern Iranian province of Khouzestan.
Noting that Khouzestan Province has a huge capacity to meet the needs of the Armenian market, she underlined the necessity to give a boost to relations between the Iranian province and the southwestern neighboring country.
Khouzestan has to take advantage of the Armenian market, Amouri said, adding that the province’s steel and petrochemical industries, as well as the agricultural products are needed by Armenia.
“We have proposed to host a trade delegation from Armenia and to dispatch an Iranian delegation to the country,” she said.
