President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Gholam Hossein Shafei on Monday called on Czech Republic to cooperate with Iran in management of water resources and expansion of railway transportation with Iran.
Shafei made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran with Ambassador of Czech Republic to Iran Josef Rychtar.
He said that the two countries can work on joint projects to produce electric engines and alternate fuels for vehicles.
Shafei also referred to cooperation on power plants, sugar industry, cement and crystal as other grounds for investment for Iran and Czech Republic.
Iran is in a geostrategic position which links south to north and east to west, the Iran Chamber chief said, underlining the need for further cooperation with Czech Republic for expansion and renovation of Iran’s railway.
Referring to the launch of a joint committee between Iran and Czech Republic, Shafei urged the establishment of a mirror committee in the country which he said will pave the way for launching joint chambers.
The ambassador of Czech Republic, for his part, said that an economic delegation from the country is due to visit Iran in January.
Rychtar expressed satisfaction with paving the way for holding a joint commission meeting between Iran and the Czech Republic next month.
He noted that although a significant number of Czech companies are eager to be present in the Iranian market, money transfer problems are impeding such cooperation.
