Iranian tire manufacturers produced over 16.279 million car tires in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-November 21), rising two percent from the output in the same period of time in the previous year.
This number of produced tires weighed over 172,653 tons, with 419-ton growth year on year.
According to the statistics, in the mentioned period, 107,625 tons of passenger car tires were produced, showing an eight-percent rise year on year.
Meanwhile, 16,498 tons of van tires were produced, indicating a 10-percent fall, and 33,424 tons of truck and bus tires were produced, showing a 10-percent drop.
Production of the tires of agricultural vehicles experienced a decline of 12 percent to stand at 112,365 tons, and that of road building and industrial vehicles fell 16 percent to 2,741 tons in the period under review.
In the first eight months of the present year, 12,132 tons of bicycle and motorcycle tires were also produced, indicating a two percent rise year on year.
Production of tubes fell seven percent to stand at 6,140 tons.
