Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) is scheduled to dispatch a trade delegation to Kazakhstan’s capital city of Astana on January 25-28.
The visit to Kazakhstan by the Iranian private sector delegation will take place simultaneous with an Iran-Kazakhstan Joint Economic Commission session in Astana.
Minister of Agriculture Javad Sadatinejad will reportedly be among the members of the Iranian delegation to Kazakhstan.
The trip to Astana aims to help give a boost to trade cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan.
The Iranian trade delegation will be comprised of businesspeople active in different areas including, transportation, techno-engineering services, overseas farming, food and agricultural industries, grains and livestock feed, chemicals, plastics, machineries, constructional materials, mining, drugs and medical equipment, and knowledge-based technologies.
Iran traded some 619,077 tons worth $239.36 million of commodities with Kazakhstan over the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Dec. 21), registering a 29.53% and 40.39% YOY rise in weight and value terms respectively.
