Iran’s Government Spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi says that the head of the Planning and Budget Organization and the agriculture minister have been replaced in a reshuffle in the economic team of the cabinet.
Speaking to state television on Tuesday, Bahadori Jahromi said that the changes were made in an effort to make better use of the capacities of the Iranian managers.
The government has always been keeping a close eye on the performance of the cabinet members, he said.
The government spokesman said that Davoud Manzour who headed the Iranian National Tax Administration has been appointed as caretaker head of the Planning and Budget Organization to replace Masoud Mirkazemi, with Mohammad Aghamiri, the head of the Iran Veterinary Organization replacing Javad Sadatinejad as the acting minister of agriculture.
Also, Mohammad Sadegh Khayatian who was the head of the Presidential Center for Strategic Studies has been appointed as the head of the Iran National Innovation Fund.
Earlier this month, Iran’s Minister of Education Yousef Nouri submitted his resignation following the delay in the payments of the teachers. President Ebrahim Raisi accepted his resignation and replaced him with Reza Moradsahraei.
