As much as 90% of trade exchanges between Iran and the UEA are being carried out by the private sector, according to Iran’s consul general in Dubai.
Mohammad Soleimani made the remarks in a meeting with a delegation from Iran’s Zanjan Chamber Commerce to Dubai’s GITEX Global.
He also added that the volume of trade between Iran and the UAE stands at $25 billion.

Noting that Dubai is responsible for a large part of the trade exchanges between the two countries, he said that the Iranian consulate in Dubai would do whatever possible to facilitate the exchanges.
The UAE is Iran’s second-largest trade partner after China.
In a visit to Iran Chamber of Commerce in May, Chairman of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry Abdullah Al Mazrouei said that his country intends to become Iran’s number one trade partner.
