Iran has exported around 61,000 tons of aquatic products during the first six months of the current Iranian year, Iran Customs Administration said.
The statistics show that the value of the export of aquatic products from March 21 to September 22 has stood at $131 million.
During the past two years and a half, Iran has exported 319,000 tons of various aquatic products, valued at $628 million.
The head of Iran Fisheries Organization in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan has said that the major part of shrimps produced in Iran is exported to China.
China and Thailand are the main customers of the fish that are not favorable for the domestic market.
