The Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA) has plans to grant more tax exemptions to populated families, according to an INTA spokesman.
Mehdi Movahhedi said that the country’s total income tax bill which was sent to the parliament last month seeks to organize tax exemptions.
A large part of the exemptions is supposed to be allocated to populated families, the official said.
He added that larger families, which face more increased costs, have to be offered more services to ensure their welfare.
Offering tax exemptions to populated families is seen as part of the plans by the Iranian government to increase the country’s birth rate.
