Iran and Turkey have exchanged as much as $4.125 billion worth of non-oil goods during the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-July 21), according to the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Mohammad Rezvanifar said that Turkey was Iran’s second biggest trade partner among the neighboring countries during the four-month period.
In a report in early February, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) put the volume of the trade exchanges between Iran and Turkey in 2023 at about $5.5 billion.
The report by the TURKSTAT showed a 14% decline compared to 2022 data when bilateral exchanges stood at $6.420 billion.
