Iran’s Minister of Energy has said that the country has plans to add another 30,000 MW to its power generation capacity by the end of the current administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Abbas Aliabadi highlighted that the government is focused on expansion of renewable energies and has major projects now under construction.
He also referred to the high consumption of energy in Iran, noting that consumption management is a top priority of the government.
The minister added that energy consumption in Iran will be much better next year and a year later in summer the country will have no more energy imbalances and power outages.
