Iran's economy endured significant difficulties over the past year, but business leaders and the media worked together to maintain hope and confidence in the country’s economic future, the president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a meeting with media persons, Samad Hassanzadeh acknowledged the tough economic conditions of the past year and praised the cooperation between economic stakeholders and the press. “In a year filled with economic challenges, business leaders and media professionals stood together with dedication, striving to keep hope alive in society and the economy,” he said.
Hassanzadeh emphasized the media’s role in preserving national interests and promoting economic and social stability. “The media play a vital role in maintaining trust in the country’s economic agenda,” he added.
Despite existing shortcomings and structural inefficiencies, Iran possesses vast natural and economic resources, as well as a skilled workforce, he said. “We must all work collectively toward improving public welfare,” he urged.
The Chamber president also called for stronger government support of the private sector. “If the private sector is reasonably supported, and policymakers believe in the capabilities of Iranian entrepreneurs, we can envision a very bright future for the country’s economy,” he noted.
