Iran's exports to Kazakhstan rose by 27% in the Iranian calendar year to March 20, reflecting deepening trade ties between the two countries, the Iranian embassy in Astana said on Tuesday, citing data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the report, Iran exported goods worth $278 million to Kazakhstan over the 12-month period, marking a significant increase compared to the same timeframe a year earlier.

Meanwhile, imports from Kazakhstan totaled $61 million during the same period.

The embassy noted that the upward trend in trade figures signals a mutual political will between Tehran and Astana to expand bilateral economic cooperation.
