Iranian government vows to support private sector

The Iranian government is committed to supporting the private sector through policy-making and infrastructure development, government spokesperson said on Friday, pledging to address national-level challenges faced by businesses.

The Iranian government is committed to supporting the private sector through policy-making and infrastructure development, government spokesperson said on Friday, pledging to address national-level challenges faced by businesses.

Speaking at a meeting with economic activists in Ardabil province, Fatemeh Mohajerani stated that the government’s duty is to be a supportive companion to private enterprises.

“Most of the problems raised by economic activists and industry owners are national issues,” Mohajerani said. She promised to follow up on removing these obstacles and challenges.

Mohajerani emphasized the need for a mutual understanding between the state and private companies, describing their success as a benefit to the government.

“The profit of the private sector has always been a source of happiness for the government,” she said.

Seeking to reassure business leaders, the spokesperson added that the government aims to facilitate their work and that any harm to the sector is effectively a loss for the state itself.

“We should not be misunderstood in the government’s actions and performance,’ Mohajerani said. “We all believe that the role of the private sector in the country is key, and greater synergy with this sector and removing potential obstacles ahead are part of the government’s commitments and approaches.”
