A business delegation from Iran Chamber of Commerce has departed for Kabul to attend a series of economic meetings and the opening of an international trade exhibition.
The delegation includes Hamed Asgari, the chamber’s deputy for international affairs; Mahmoud Siadat, chairman of the Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber; Abdolhakim Rigi, head of the Zahedan Chamber of Commerce; Alireza Khamehzar, head of the Birjand Chamber of Commerce; Hamidreza Salehi, president of Iran’s Energy Federation; and Mohammadreza Modoudi, CEO of the Dogharoon Free Zone.
A group of Iranian private-sector representatives from the energy, mining, transport and logistics sectors is also part of the mission.
During the visit, the delegation will attend the opening of the fourth Imam Abu Hanifa International Exhibition and participate in the Iran-Afghanistan Economic Forum. They will also tour exhibition booths, including Iran’s national pavilion.
Bilateral business-to-business meetings between Iranian and Afghan private-sector representatives are scheduled to take place following the forum.
