Hossein Pir-Moazzen, vice president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, has urged the need for private sector’s partnership in the post-war reconstruction period.

Hossein Pir-Moazzen, vice president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, has urged the need for private sector’s partnership in the post-war reconstruction period.

Pir-Moazzen said the private sector must take role more than a complementary player and act as the driving force for reconstruction and economic growth.

In the post-war, Iran will be facing different challenges including damaged infrastructure, reduced investment, increased unemployment, disruption of the supply chain and further reduction in the public trust, the Iran chamber official said, highlighting the necessity of speedy reconstruction of transportation, energy and communication infrastructure.

In order for the private sector to be able to play its role in the reconstruction period, Pir-Moazzen urged the need for offering tax incentives and guaranteeing the security of investment.
