The head of the Kerman Chamber of Commerce has declared that no duty is more urgent than preserving production, employment, and trade amid the current wartime conditions in the country, pledging the chamber’s full support for economic operators.

Speaking at a crisis committee meeting of Kerman Chamber of Commerce, Mehdi Tabibzadeh highlighted mounting challenges in sea-borne exports and proposed Pakistan as an alternative route for Iranian trade during the war.

“If the Kerman and Sistan-Baluchestan chambers, along with the joint Iran-Pakistan chamber, reach a consensus, we can define viable alternative routes for exports and imports from Kerman to Pakistan,” he said, noting that Karachi, Pakistan, offers the fastest access.

Tabibzadeh identified working capital shortages, raw material supply and transport and logistics hurdles as major concerns facing economic actors, urging collective efforts to resolve them.
