Iran Chamber chief hails firms for sustaining essential production during wartime

President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Samad Hassanzadeh has praised the country’s business community for maintaining the flow of essential goods during the recent imposed war, despite heavy damage to infrastructure and production facilities.

President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Samad Hassanzadeh has praised the country’s business community for maintaining the flow of essential goods during the recent imposed war, despite heavy damage to infrastructure and production facilities.

Speaking at the chamber’s first meeting of the board of representatives in the new Iranian year, Hassanzadeh condemned the aggression by the US-Zionist enemy against Iran and offered condolences over the martyrdom of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with senior military commanders and civilians during the war.

He said Iranian economic actors had remained active in all areas of the country’s economy throughout the crisis, ensuring uninterrupted production of basic commodities and other needed products even as key infrastructure sustained major losses.

“We appreciate all economic enterprises that dedicated their resources and expertise during the war,” Hassanzadeh said. “Despite significant damage to infrastructure, the production of essential goods and products required by the country continued without interruption.”

He said companies across multiple sectors had shown resilience under severe wartime conditions by safeguarding supply chains and sustaining domestic production.

Hassanzadeh added that the global economy had suffered broader consequences from the conflict than Iran, arguing that Tehran had strengthened its international position and gained support from countries opposed to US and Israeli policies.

He also reiterated Iran’s refusal to yield to “unreasonable and illegal coercion,” while expressing hope that officials would pursue carefully managed negotiations aimed at securing lasting peace and stability.
