Iran Chamber president joins economic delegation in Singapore

Iran Chamber of Commerce President Mohsen Jalalpour has joined the Iranian high-ranking delegation in Singapore and delivered speech at the Iran-Singapore economic forum.

Accompanied by a number of investigators and managers of investment holding companies, Iran Chamber President Mohsen Jalalpour arrived in Singapore early Thursday to join the Iranian economic delegation headed by Iranian Minister of Cooperative, Labor and Social Welfare Ali Rabiei.

The Iranian delegation arrived in the city-state of Singapore on Wednesday morning in order to boost bilateral economic ties as well as to conduct negotiations with officials of the East Asian country.

Ali Rabiei and Mohsen Jalalpour, as representatives from Iran’s public and private sectors, delivered speeches at the Iran-Singapore economic forum. Jalapour described the investment opportunities in Iran and asked Singapore businessmen to join the new wave of investment in Iran following the removal of international sanctions after Iran reached a nuclear deal with world powers.

The Iranian delegation's trip is taking place at the official invitation of Singapore Minister for Trade and Industry S Iswaran who made a visit to Tehran early in March atop a large economic group. Iran team have met some ministers and top-ranked governmental and private sector authorities of Singapore during the visit, to seek venues for further strengthening of collaborations between the two sides.

Two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) have also been signed between Iran and Singapore over trade and petrochemical cooperation.
