An Iranian commercial delegation on Wednesday attended a study visit organized by Thai Embassy in Tehran as well as Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in the Thai capital, in order to present special health and wellness packages offered by hospitals and clinics of the country.

Representatives from Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Mines, Esfahan Chamber of Commerce and Hamdan Chamber of Commerce are in Bangkok to attend the Study Visit to Thailand on Health and Wellness Tourism, slated for August 28 September 4.

The Iranian delegation, headed by Deputy for International Affairs of Iran Chamber of Commerce Mohammad Reza Karbasi, visited Apex Medical Center as well as La Vie Detox and Wellness Center, during which were briefed on special health and wellness services provided by the centers.

Praising the special health and wellness tourism packages offered by the Apex Medical Center, Karbasi expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate on health and wellness tourism.

Experts of the center gave a two-hour presentation on six various medical and cosmetic sectors and also on its programs that provide health care to patients.

Apex Medical Center provides the highest standard of treatment. The center performs the most up-to-date comprehensive range of state-of-the-art cosmetic procedures and services to help patients achieve and exceed their aesthetic goals.

Referring to some comparable services provided by health and cosmetic centers in Iran, Karbasi explained that “both sides can cooperate on the exchange of patiants, sharing experience and technology, the exchange of expertise, and cooperation in a third country”.

He described the study visit as an opportunity to present an institution’s work, meet experts from other countries and establish contacts for cooperation and get inspiring ideas.

At LA Vie Detox and Wellness Center also a power point presentation was delivered by an expert.

The center is an anti-aging and wellness center that takes an innovative and holistic approach in helping patients improve their current state of health, prevent age-related diseases and to gain more enjoyment and fulfillment in life.

The facilities include detoxification, massage, infrared sauna, IV, ozone, medical check-up and consultation rooms as well as a VIP lounge.

According to World Tourism Organization, Thailand receives around 26.5 million tourists each year making it one of the most popular global destinations for holidaymakers. In recent years though, this tropical paradise has been attracting a new type of tourists, whose main reason for being in the country is medical treatment.
