Iran Chamber of Commerce president calls for removing hurdles on trade with Azerbaijan

President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) has stressed the need for more cooperation among private sectors of Iran and Azerbaijan to remove the obstacles on the way of bilateral trade.

President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) has stressed the need for more cooperation among private sectors of Iran and Azerbaijan to remove the obstacles on the way of bilateral trade.

Hossein Selahvarzi made the remarks in a meeting with President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mammad Musayev.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 35th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA) in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Speaking during the meeting, Selahvarzi said that although the volume of trade between Iran and Azerbaijan have been growing, there is yet way more to go.  

He invited the Azerbaijani official to visit Iran at the head of a delegation of the country’s economic actors and entrepreneurs.

The Azerbaijani side, for his part, expressed his country’s readiness for further enhancement of economic and trade cooperation with Iran.

Musayev said that Azerbaijan wants more expanded cooperation with Islamic countries, particularly the neighbors and friendly countries like the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He added that the Azerbaijani private sector is ready for cooperation in trade and tourism areas with Iranian partners.
