As much as 214 million tons of goods has been either loaded or unloaded in Iranian ports in 11 calendar months leading to late February, official figures said.

The news portal of Iran’s Ministry of Road and Urban Development cited figures by the country’s Ports and Maritime Organization on Wednesday noting that an aggregate 72.7 million tons of oil and non-oil products were unloaded in the Iranian ports in March 2023-February 2024 period.

The report added that some 74.4 million tons of oil products as well as 66.5 million tons of non-oil products were also loaded in the Iranian ports during the period under review which registered a 7% rise in oil products and a 23% surge in non-oil products compared to figures reported in last year’s corresponding period.
