A day after Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei called for people’s more participation in the Iranian economy, the country’s private sector welcomed the Leader’s call and pledged to contribute to the people-centered economy.

Speaking in a televised address to the Iranian nation on the arrival of the Persian New Year known as Nowruz on Wednesday, the Supreme Leader named the Iranian year 1403 as “Surge in Production through People’s Participation.”

Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) issued a statement a day later which welcomes the New Year message of the Supreme Leader and takes it as a good omen.

The statement said that the Supreme Leader's repeated emphasis on handing over the economy to the people and using the great public and non-governmental capacities indicates an expert look which can pave the way for the country’s future progress.

It also referred to Iran’s 20-year Vision 2025 and added that the statistics and expert reports show that the share of the private sector and the people in the Iranian economy is far less than goals envisaged in the general policies of the Vision plan.

The statement expressed the readiness of the Iran Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the country’s private sector actors to have more cooperation with the three branches of the government to help the people-centered economy and the Supreme Leader’s call for a “Surge in Production through People’s Participation”.
