Report puts Q1 trade between Iran, China at $4 billion

Chinese customs said in a report on Monday that there was $4 billion worth of trade exchanges between Iran and China in the first quarter of this year.

China’s trade with Iran between January and March this year grew by one percent compared to the same period in 2023 and reached $4.2 billion, the report said.

The exchanges between Iran and China in the first quarter in 2023 were announced to be $3.9 billion.

According to this report, in the first 3 months of this year, China imported more than $1.2 billion worth of goods from Iran, up by 10% compared to the previous quarter.

China's exports to Iran in the months of January to March 2024 were $2.7 billion, down 3% compared to the same period last year.
