Velayati to speak on Iran’s investment opportunities in Singapore

Head of the Strategic Research Center of Iran’s Expediency Council Ali Akbar Velayati arrived in Singapore on Sunday to take part in the third South Asian Diaspora Convention (SADC).

Ali Akbar Velayati was received by local authorities, officials in charge of holding the convention, and Iran’s ambassador to Singapore Javad Ansari, upon arriving in the South Asian country.

Velayati, who is also an adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on international affairs, will address the South Asian Diaspora Convention (SADC) today. He is also scheduled to meet with senior Singaporean officials during his two day stay in the country.

More than 50 regional policymakers, business leaders, civil society figures and academia are participating the 3rd SADC.

The speakers will discuss and debate regional and global topics in business, economy and policy that would affect the region’s future and its role in global geopolitics in the 21st century.

Velayati is scheduled to visit Kuala Lumpur after the two-day stay in Singapore to discuss bilateral affairs with senior officials in Malaysia.
