Gholam Hossein Shafei was elected as the head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) on Sunday.
The election to select the 10th chairman of ICCIMA was officially held on Sunday morning in Tehran with attendance of 401 members.
Shafei gained the top position in the Iranian Chamber of Commerce by winning 198 votes versus his rival Masoud Khansari with 194 votes.
397 of the 401 present members casted their votes during the election.
Gholam Hossein Shafei had previously chaired the seventh round of Iran Chamber of Commerce while he was vice-chairman for two rounds as he will replace Mohsen Jalalpour whose resignation had been accepted about a month ago.
