The caretaker for Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade has announced that the country’s annual exports are expected to reach $75 billion by the end of the calendar year to March 2026.

Mehdi Niazi made the announcement at a gathering held in Tehran on Sunday with the participation of heads of the Islamic Republic diplomatic missions in other countries.

Heads of the Iranian diplomatic missions in other countries convene in Tehran, Iran, May 28, 2023.

He underlined that the government is seriously asking its diplomatic missions particularly those in the friendly and neighboring states to develop the country's foreign trade.

Rouhollah Latifi, the spokesman of the Iranian House of Industry, Mine and Trade’s Trade Development Commission and former spokesman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, had earlier put Iran’s last year’s exports, excluding crude oil, at $53.16 billion.

Majidreza Hariri, the chairman of Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce, also said last month that some 31% of Iranian exports of non-oil products are destined for China.
