A forum between Iranian and Macedonian businesspeople was held in Skopje on Thursday.
The Iranian side was led by Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture President Gholam Hossein Shafei, who accompanied a visiting Iranian delegation.
“Iranian and Macedonian private sectors can cooperate in the joint production of goods, which can then be exported to third-party countries,” Shafei said.
He noted that Macedonia can act as a gateway for Iranian products to enter the markets of Balkans region.
Prior to the Macedonia visit, the Iranian delegation attended another business forum with their Albanian counterparts in Tirana on Wednesday. The two sides stressed the importance of expanding bilateral collaboration in a wide range of fields, including transportation, fisheries, agriculture, foodstuff, oil and gas, petrochemicals, textile and leather industries, mining and technical and engineering services.
