Iran has wrapped up a specialized exhibition for technical, engineering and urban services in Kabul where 75 Iranian companies showcased their capabilities and discussed partnership with Afghan counterparts.
Twenty one Iranian companies in the urban services sector and 54 companies in the technical and engineering services sector were present at the exhibition, Iranian embassy in the Afghan capital said in an announcement.
Iran’s Ambassador to Kabul Bahador Aminian said that Iran wants peace in Afghanistan and a balance to be established between the two countries in the field of imports and exports.
Afghanistan is a top trade partner of Iran. Iran exported 1.06 million tons of commodities worth of $341 million to Afghanistan during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 20-May 20), data released by Iran Customs Administration shows.
The value of annual trade between the two countries stands at around $3 billion, according to chairman of Iran-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce, Afghanistan Hossein Salimi.
