During a recent visit to Almaty Province of Kazakhstan by a private sector delegation from Iranian northeastern province of North Khorasan, four documents were signed between the two sides, according to Saeed Pourabadi, the head of Bojnourd Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking during a press conference, Pourabadi said that the documents were signed in different trade, agricultural, tourism, and scientific areas.
He said that during the visit to Kazakhstan, the delegation from Bojnourd Chamber of Commerce had different meetings with representatives from the government and private sector of Kazakhstan.
Pourabadi noted that Kazakhstan has agreed to allocate some 10 hectares of land to the Bojnourd Chamber of Commerce to set up an exhibition, sales and hypermarket center in Kazakhstan where Iranian products can be sold.
He said that Kazakhstan has also agreed with extra-territorial cultivation of Iran in the country, adding that the country has even agreed to allocate banking facilities to Iranian investors for grain cultivation in Kazakhstan.
A business delegation from North Khorasan Province travelled to Kazakhstan in search of business partners and foreign investment in mid-November.
The 20-member delegation were composed of different sectors, such as agriculture, animal husbandry, construction and food industry, as well as knowledge-based and logistic companies (land, rail and air transportation).
