Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin said on Sunday that the Iranian auto production lines in Senegal, Azerbaijan Republic, Syria and Iraq are gradually resuming their work and expanding activities.

Fatemi Amin noted that he has plans for exports of 30% of Iranian auto products by the end of his four-year term in 2025.

A production line of Iranian major automaker Iran Khodro in Senegal which had been shut down for a while reopened last week, the minister said.

Instead of exports of cars which may face some tariff problems, Iran can export auto spare parts to countries like Syria, Iraq, Senegal and Azerbaijan Republic, he added.

The minister said that the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade does not intend to bypass the sanction on the country, rather it is after defusing the sanctions and it has the necessary tools to do so.

He urged the necessity for Iran to discover the high capacities of the African continent.
