Sadreddin Niavarani, a board member of Iran Union of Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables, says Iran has resumed exports of kiwi fruit to the UAE.

Niavarani also said that the negligence of some exporters have caused difficulty for domestic producers of fruits and vegetables.

He made the remarks in reference to Russia’s return of a large shipment of Iranian bell pepper which he said has caused a 90% reduction in the price of the product in domestic markets.

Noting that it was not a wide scale problem, he said that a handful of producers in a certain area have used pesticides which were not recognized by Russia which also prevented others from exporting their products.

Niavarani called for measures so as to help farmers not to make mistakes in using pesticides.

In a recent meeting of Iran Chamber of Commerce board members and some other top Iranian private sector representatives with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and Iranian ambassadors to regional countries Iran Chamber President Gholam Hossein Shafei called on Iranian ambassadors to regional countries to provide Iran Chamber of Commerce with the information needed for trade with these countries, such as those about customs and standard regulations.
