Sadreddin Niavarani, a board member of Iran Union of Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables, says Iran has resumed exports of kiwi fruit to the UAE.
Niavarani also said that the negligence of some exporters have caused difficulty for domestic producers of fruits and vegetables.
He made the remarks in reference to Russia’s return of a large shipment of Iranian bell pepper which he said has caused a 90% reduction in the price of the product in domestic markets.
Noting that it was not a wide scale problem, he said that a handful of producers in a certain area have used pesticides which were not recognized by Russia which also prevented others from exporting their products.
Niavarani called for measures so as to help farmers not to make mistakes in using pesticides.
