Iran-Bangladesh joint committee on commerce to be launched in Iran Chamber of Commerce

Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) said in an announcement on Sunday that it plans to form an Iran-Bangladesh joint committee on commerce in the near future.

Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) said in an announcement on Sunday that it plans to form an Iran-Bangladesh joint committee on commerce in the near future.

The announcement calls on those who have been active in business between Iran and Bangladesh to fax their official request to ICCIMA for membership in the committee.

During an economic meeting on Saturday, a Bangladeshi diplomat at the country’s embassy in Tehran put Iran’s exports to Bangladesh during the first nine months of 2022 at $66 million.

This is while Iran’s imports from Bangladesh stood at $40 million during the mentioned period, according to the diplomat.  

Bangladesh is one of the largest producers of clothes and the eighth largest cotton exporter in the world.
