Mohammad Khazaei, an aide to Iran Chamber of Commerce president and the Director General of ICC Iran, has been elected as member of the General Council at the World Chambers Federation (WCF) of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
ICC WCF's Chair Nicolás Uribe Rueda, in an official letter, has congratulated Khazaei for being elected a WCF General Council member.
The letter says that Mohammad Khazaei and 19 other ones have been elected in a voting participated by ICC members from more than 100 countries.
The ICC WCF chair has expressed hope that, during their term of January 2023-June 2025, the elected members would cooperate to create more links among chambers of commerce and provide support for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The WCF General Council is scheduled to convene on February 28, 2023 in Bogota, Colombia.
In 2019, Pedram Soltani, head of Iran-Austria Joint Chamber of Commerce and former vice president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, was elected for a second time as member of the ICC WCF General Council.
