Iran has launched eight trade centers across Africa to provide services to companies which intend to be present in the African market, according to an official with the knowledge of the matter.
Speaking during a conference to review the trade potentials of North Africa, Mohammad Sadeq Ghannadzadeh, the director of the Africa Department of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPO), elaborated on the measures taken by TPO to facilitate the presence of Iranian exporters in Africa.
He referred to the high potentials of trade centers for paving the way for Iran’s more increased presence in the target markets and said that the county has opened eight trade centers in Africa and the network of these trade centers is expected to become completed by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20).
Ghannadzadeh said that the Iranian trade centers have either been established or will be launched in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameron, Senegal, Nigeria, Algeria, and South Africa.
The official had announced in mid-August that Iran had established three trade centers in Africa and the number of Iranian trade centers in the continent were scheduled to rise to 10 centers by the yearend.
He said that Iran is ready to issue permits for launching further Iranian trade centers in Africa.
