Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin said that Iran and Belarus have signed an agreement for exports of some 45,000 Iranian cars to the country within three years.
Speaking to reporters after a cabinet session on Wednesday, Fatemi Amin noted that the agreement was worth $450 million.
On his recent meeting with his Belarusian counterpart in Tehran where they discussed barter trade, Fatemi Amin said that the two countries have provided the necessary infrastructure among which is barter trade.
The minister said that Iran imports potash as an agricultural fertilizer from Belarus and exports copper to the country in return.
Noting that the total Iranian exports to Belarus stood at nearly 15 to 16 million dollars last year, he said that as much as $450 million worth of agreements has been signed between the two countries over the past two months.
