Iran seeking more investment in Tanzania

President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) says that the ground is prepared for Iran’s more enhanced investment in Tanzania’s different techno-engineering, agricultural and mining areas.

Gholam Hossein Shafei made the remarks during a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday with Director General of Tanzania Trade Development Authority Latifa Khamis.

He stressed that promotion of relations with African countries is a top agenda of Iran.

Underlining Tanzania’s strategic position which serves as a gateway to East Africa, Shafei said that the economies of Iran and Tanzania complement each other.

He referred to the rich mines in Tanzania and Iran’s mining technologies and said that the two countries can cooperate in this field.

The Tanzanian side, in the meantime, said that her trip to Tehran is aimed at making more negotiations with Iran and identifying the joint fields for cooperation.

Khamis hailed Iran’s progress in the area of agricultural machineries, voicing her country’s readiness to cooperate with Iran in this area.
