President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Gholam Hossein Shafei and Deputy Head of the Government of the Republic of Mordovia Hayrullin Insaf Rashitovich, have explored ways for further enhancement of ties.
Shafei and Rashitovich met on the sidelines of Russia-Islamic World Forum 2023 in Kazan, Tatarstan.
They agreed to prepare the ground for further familiarizing the businesspeople from both sides so as to make use of the potentials to meet the needs of each other.
Speaking at the meeting, the Mordovian side said that a new chapter has been opened in economic exchanges between Iran and the Russian Federation.
Rashitovich referred to great potentials of Mordovia in the areas of wagon making, agriculture and animal products, expressing readiness for removing part of Iran’s needs.
Noting that Mordovia produces agricultural products two times and a half more than its domestic needs, he said that it also holds the number one place in Russia in producing red meat.
These products are produced in high quality and in an organic way and will be welcomed at the Iranian market, he said.
The president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, for his part, agreed with the Mordovian side that a new chapter has opened in relations between Iran and Russia.
Shafei said that businesspeople from Iran and Russian provinces lack enough knowledge of the potentials of each other and the two sides need to initially exchange information.
He voiced readiness of Iran Chamber of Commerce to dispatch a delegation to Mordovia after the exchange of information.
