Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) and the Association of International Road Carriers (ASMAP) of the Russian Federation are reportedly scheduled to explore ways for further transportation cooperation.
The decision on enhancement of such cooperation was made in a meeting between Behnam Faramarzian, the director of international transportation and TIR carnet department of Iran Chamber of Commerce, and Russian Trade Representative in Iran Rustam Zhiganshin.
The meeting took place as part of joint efforts by Iran and Russia to boost transportation and trade in a strategically important International North-South Transit Corridor (INSTC).
The two sides underlined the significance of transportation in expansion of economic relations between the two countries and the need for signing a cooperation agreement between Iran Chamber of Commerce and Russia’s ASMAP.
