The Kuwaiti-based budget airline Jazeera Airways has launched regular flights between Kuwait City and the Iranian city of Shiraz.
CEO of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company Fakhreddin Keshavarz said on Tuesday that Jazeera Airways had started two flights per week between Kuwait City and Shiraz in southern Iran as of June 4.
The company will use Airbus 320 to carry out flights on the new rout, said Keshavarz, adding that flights from Kuwait City to Shiraz are planned for Sundays and Wednesdays at 17:35 local time and from Shiraz for Kuwait City on the same days at 18:20 Shiraz time.
He said Iran's flag carrier Iran Air also conducts two flights between Shiraz and Kuwait City every Tuesday.
