Tehran will host the Eurasia Expo 2023 on Dec. 4-7 as Iran is in the final stages of securing a free trade deal with the Eurasian Economic Union.
This is the second edition of the exhibition, which will be held at Tehran’s International Fairground, according to Alireza Jafari, the administrative manager of the event.
Companies active in the fields of oil, gas, petrochemical, chemical, automobile and parts manufacturing, agricultural and food, tourism, medicine, medical equipment, banking, insurance and support funds, knowledge-based and new technologies, rail, sea, road and air transportation, technology and industry will showcase their products and services at the expo.
On the sidelines of the event, specialized meetings will be held to discuss the development of economic relations with Eurasian, Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Persian Gulf countries, customs, transportation and green corridor, as well as the role of banks and export guarantee funds in trade development, IRIB News reported.
Examining the role of domestic universities in the commercialization of science and development of economic relations, as well as the role of tourism in cultural relations are among other topics on the agenda.
On Jan. 19, 2022, Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union signed an agreement to establish a free trade zone following the meeting of the delegations of the two sides.
