Flights between the holy Iranian city of Mashhad and Muscat, the capital of Oman, have been scheduled to start from July 3 on Mondays by Oman Air, according to the director general of Khorasan Razavi Airports Company, Mahmoud Amani-Bani.
An A320 airplane will arrive at Mashhad International Airport at 6:40 p.m. and depart for Muscat at 7:55 p.m. every Monday, the news portal of Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development reported.
Mashhad is the capital city of Khorasan Razavi Province and home to the shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH). It is one of the top religious tourism destinations in Iran.
Earlier, SalamAir had announced biweekly direct flights from Sohar Airport to Shiraz Airport in Iran starting July 5, 2023, Times of Oman reported.
