Iran’s Q1 exports to Iraq tops $2.3 billion

Iran has exported as much as $2.348 billion worth of goods to Iraq in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 – June 21), according to an official with the knowledge of the matter.

Iran has exported as much as $2.348 billion worth of goods to Iraq in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 – June 21), according to an official with the knowledge of the matter.

Managing Director of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran for West Asia affairs says the figure is up 24% compared to figures from last year’s corresponding period.

Farzad Piltan added that the exports of natural gas, rebar, tomatoes, iron ingots, livestock and poultry feed, polyethylene, clinker, milk powder, and plastic materials have registered the highest growth in the three-month period.

He had earlier said that Iran’s last year exports to Iraq had reached a record $10 billion.
