Niloofar Assadi, the caretaker of the international affairs of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) says Iran enjoys the best potential for cooperation with BRICS member countries.
Assadi made the remarks addressing a conference in Tehran on Tuesday themed “Iran and BRICS: Prospects for Partnership and Cooperation”.
The conference was participated by representatives from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa as well as other representatives from international organizations such as Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
With young, educated workforce, huge energy resources, cheap transportation corridors, and long history of active partnership in global institutions, Iran stands ready to help the fulfilment of BRICS goals while it also demands to be able to enjoy full advantages of this bloc, Assadi said.
Underlining the role of the private sectors, she said that private sector is responsible for 90% of job creation, 60% of total investments and 80% of the government revenues in developing countries.
Assadi added that sustainable growth would not happen unless in the light of support and encouragement of the private sector.
