Iran has been picked to host the 40th Meeting of the General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA).
The 39th ICCIA General Assembly Meeting convened in Doha on Saturday where the participants unanimously voted for Iran to host the next meeting.
In the previous edition of the meeting in Baku in July, President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Hossein Selahvarzi expressed Iran’s readiness to host the 40th edition of the meeting.
The ICCIA was founded under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in 1978 and it now covers chambers of commerce from 57 Islamic countries.
Iran’s hosting of the ICCIA General Assembly Meeting in 2024 will be the country’s first hosting of the meeting since the ICCIA came into existence 45 years ago.
