The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 39th Meeting of the General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA) in the Qatari capital on Sunday.

The president of Iran Chamber of Commerce voiced Iran’s readiness to transfer modern technologies to Egypt in different areas including, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, agriculture, and techno-engineering projects.

He expressed regret with the low level of economic exchanges between Tehran and Cairo, noting that Iran and Egypt, as two significant countries of the Muslim world, Middle East and North Africa, has to pursue more active trade relations.

Referring to Egypt’s trade agreements with the European, African and American countries, El Wakil said that economic actors of Iran and Egypt can make use of these regional agreements to expand their exports.

He noted that Iranian and Egyptian companies can define joint projects in third countries.
